Not every new model year brings something incredible; sometimes, all that’s needed are a few new options and continued support for a great ride. But other times, we get something special, such as the launch of an all-new generation or a mid-cycle refresh. The latter is what we see with the 2024 Encore GX from Buick, and we couldn’t be happier. Seeing as this subcompact SUV is only a few years old, it didn’t need a full redesign, but we’re incredibly excited about the updates it’s getting.

Whether you’ve been interested in the Encore GX for a while now and were simply waiting for the right moment to check one out, or this is your first time seeing what it has to offer, there’s never been a better time to experience what this exciting ride can bring to the road. As your Buick dealer near Clinton, we’re more than ready to show you everything Buick has packed into this refreshed beauty, so let’s check it out…

An Overview of the 2024 Buick Encore GX

For starters, the Buick Encore GX is a subcompact SUV, which means it’s perfect if you’re looking for something on the smaller side to enjoy while driving around Clinton. We’d recommend this one if you tend to drive solo or with a partner, though it can work well if you have a small family and you want a vehicle that won’t threaten to take over your life with its size.

The Encore GX has two rows of seating inside for up to five passengers, plus more than 50 cu.ft. of total cargo volume inside, giving you plenty of room to load up with all the stuff you need to bring along with you.

Buick has given the Encore GX a makeover for the 2024 model year, which, as their most popular model in North America, it certainly deserves. It’s been revamped both inside and out, starting with freshened front-end styling that features a new grille design, Buick’s new tri-shield logo, and winged LED headlamps that illuminate the road while making an immediate statement.

New wheel designs further elevate the appearance of the Encore GX, while inside, you’ll find a revamped interior with Buick’s new Virtual Cockpit system at its heart. Perhaps best of all, the Avenir trim is now available for the Buick Encore GX for the first time ever, delivering an elevated and luxurious experience that makes one of the best subcompact SUVs on the road even better.

Trim Highlight: The Encore GX Preferred

The starting trim for the Buick Encore GX is the Preferred, which has its standard features but is anything but barebones. With the Encore GX Preferred, you get a 1.2L Turbo engine that delivers 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, which is plenty of power for cruising around Clinton or getting through your daily commute.

If you want something with a bit more oomph, then there’s an available 1.3L Turbo engine that boosts performance up to 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque; both engines are great, but we’ll admit that we prefer the 1.3L option. Either one comes with a continuously variable transmission for a smooth and responsive driving experience, plus you get front-wheel drive standard, though all-wheel drive is available with the 1.3L engine.

Looking at the exterior of the Encore GX Preferred, you get 18-inch Bright Silver painted aluminum wheels wrapped in all-season tires, with molded color bumpers, a chrome roofline, and a gloss black beltline. This trim has automatic on/off LED headlamps and IntelliBeam high beams that come on and off automatically based on lighting and oncoming traffic. Heated power-adjustable outside mirrors are standard, along with deep-tinted, acoustic, laminated glass for the windshield and doors—all part of Buick’s QuietTuning system that blocks and absorbs unwanted sounds to give you a quieter interior.

Speaking of which, inside the Encore GX Preferred, you’ll find Buick’s exciting new Virtual Cockpit system that features a gorgeous 11.0-inch infotainment system paired with an 8.0-inch Driver Information Center, creating nineteen inches of high-definition screens under a single sheet of glass. This puts you at the center of these displays so you can easily keep track of important information while driving.

You also get a six-speaker sound system, cloth seating with leatherette trimming, and a wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls. Perhaps best of all, the Buick Confidence package comes standard with advanced safety tools like Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking with Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning.

Trim Highlight: The Encore GX Sport Touring

If you’d like an enhanced experience while driving around Clinton, then you should consider the Encore GX Sport Touring and everything it has to offer. For starters, the Sport Touring comes with the 1.3L Turbo engine as its standard option, so you don’t have to choose additional power—you simply get it.

You also get some upgraded exterior details like 18-inch gloss black wheels, a high gloss black grille with a silver-painted insert, LED tail lamps, and body-color door handles with chrome strips for an added touch of style. Inside, you’ll find some nice details and extra touches, like a flat-bottom steering wheel for a sportier feel. Overall, this gives the Sport Touring trim a bold and powerful look—plus, you can take things even further with more options like the Advanced Technology and Comfort packages.

Trim Highlight: The Encore GX Avenir

For the ultimate expression of luxury and style from Buick, however, you owe it to yourself to check out the all-new Avenir trim for the Encore GX. The Avenir name has represented the pinnacle of Buick sophistication for many years now, but this is the first time we’ve seen it offered for the Encore GX, and we couldn’t be happier about what it brings to the road.

For starters, you have bespoke 19-inch Avenir Premium Pearl Nickel aluminum wheels along with a gorgeous Black Ice Avenir front grille that gives this trim a bold and powerful overall look. LED clear lens tail lamps look fantastic and help improve visibility at night, while an available hands-free power liftgate makes loading and unloading your Encore GX even easier.

Inside the Avenir, you’ll find a wide range of exclusive styling details and features that elevate your driving experience to the next level. For starters, we have leather-appointed seating featuring an eight-way power driver’s seat and a six-way power front passenger seat, both of which include heating elements.

You get a heated steering wheel and dual-zone automatic climate control, plus keyless open and start with remote start functionality that makes it a lot easier to get up and get going in the morning. The signature Whisper Beige/Jet Black interior takes the looks of the Avenir’s cabin even further, creating a stunning experience that you’ll look forward to driving each day.

What Are You Looking for in the Buick Encore GX?

As you can see, the 2024 Buick Encore GX is looking better than ever and is decked out with incredible features for you to enjoy; the new Virtual Cockpit system is probably our favorite and something you need to experience for yourself to fully appreciate. In addition to everything we looked at, you have even more options available like a wireless charging pad, adaptive cruise control, and a seven-speaker Bose premium sound system.

All of this means the Encore GX can be the perfect subcompact SUV for your daily routine in Clinton, going on long road trips, and for everything else you’re looking to do. Once you know exactly what you want in your next ride, then we can help you find it.

A white 2024 GMC Acadia Denali is shown parked off-road after visiting a GMC dealer.

With a new generation of the three-row Acadia SUV hitting lots across the country, you may be wondering how it differs from previous versions. There’s actually quite a lot that’s different about the 2024 GMC Acadia, from its larger build to its state-of-the-art tech features and everything between.

As a top GMC dealer, LaFontaine Buick GMC Highland is your source for the most exciting and highly anticipated models to grace the roads—and one of these is the 2024 Acadia. Designed with heightened style, intense capabilities, and new features to enhance the ride, this three-row marvel is ready for its time in the spotlight. Here are some of the elements that make the newest Acadia on the block GMC’s best one yet…

More Space on Board

The 2024 Acadia is larger than life—well, at least it seems that way with its roomier interior, fit to handle more than ever before. This showstopper features three rows to accommodate up to eight passengers, with more front-row legroom than any other vehicle in its class. Not only are you able to fit more on board this alluring machine, but no matter where you’re seated, you’ll be in for a cozy ride. Cargo volume has also received a boost, with this skilled SUV offering approximately 24% more cargo space than past models.

You’ll also get to enjoy immense convenience features, especially when you choose the lavish Denali trim, which offers power-folding seats in its third row to help you fit more into your vehicle with ease. Second-row seats also fold with one touch, maximizing the space on board like never before.

All of this extra space is thanks to the 2024 Acadia’s taller, wider, and longer build, sharing the same platform as the family-friendly Chevy Traverse. Not only does this allow you to handle more during your travels, whether that means people or gear, but you’re also able to enjoy a more comfortable cabin space with plenty of room for you, your passengers, and everything joining you along for the ride.

Impressive Tech

In addition to the increased space inside the 2024 GMC Acadia, you’ll also notice that it’s filled with even more exciting tech than its predecessors. A new 15.0-inch touchscreen comes standard across the board, showcasing GMC’s latest infotainment system, granting you access to apps, contacts, and more while you travel. You’ll also enjoy an 11.0-inch digital gauge display to keep you updated on your journey, with elements like speed, fuel levels, and more displayed right in front of you on the dash.

The 2024 Acadia can also be equipped with GMC’s hands-free driving tool, Super Cruise, to take the guesswork out of the journey. With the ability to steer, brake, and navigate over 400,000 miles of compatible roads throughout North America, Super Cruise adds extreme value to your time in transit.

Assistance comes standard on every Acadia—driver assistance, that is, with access to over 15 standard features to help you remain safe and confident behind the wheel. From blind zone steering assistance to bicyclist braking and pedestrian alerts, the Acadia is watching out for you from every angle.

You’ll be able to enjoy maximum visibility, with up to nine available camera views, including a Rear Camera Mirror to help you see better behind you. You can also enjoy High Definition Surround Vision, which showcases a bird’s-eye view around your vehicle, perfect for busy parking lots and unfamiliar areas. No matter where you’re traveling, rest assured that the level of innovation inside the 2024 Acadia has what it takes to meet any challenges that await you.

Enhanced Capabilities

What many drivers love about GMC’s SUV lineup is the fact that there’s a versatile selection of trims to choose from to get what you demand out of your travels. One of these trims is geared toward adventurers: the AT4. On the 2024 Acadia, the AT4 has been enhanced in virtually every way.

An Active Torque Control AWD System allows you to fearlessly explore new territories with ease, while a lifted design helps you maneuver over obstacles like a pro. An off-road tuned suspension system provides the control and stability you require, especially when the ground beneath its all-terrain tires becomes dangerous.

Not only does the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 act the part of a seasoned adventurer, but it also looks like one. It showcases dark features and a rugged build, complete with 18-inch gloss-black painted aluminum wheels to intensify its fearless appeal. You’ll find that the Acadia offers a dynamic ride, with just one powertrain under the hood of all models: a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder, which provides you with an exciting 328 hp.

This exceptional powertrain not only offers more horsepower than previous models but also more towing power, allowing the Acadia to tow up to 5,000 lbs effortlessly. Now, not only will you be able to traverse unruly terrain with more confidence than ever, but you’ll also be able to add a thrill to the everyday drive that you won’t find in rivals.

Upscale Design Elements

There’s no competing with the Denali trim, and the features found in the latest Acadia Denali are nothing short of perfection. Outside, it is bound to mesmerize you, with an eye-catching grille and luminous lighting elements; also, with available 22-inch wheels—the largest ever available on the Acadia—standing out in the crowd will be a given in this stately vehicle. Inside, premium leather-appointed materials await, as well as heated and ventilated seats, exclusive badging, and an overall ambiance that radiates with luxury.

Innovation is also prevalent on board, with a configurable 8.0-inch Head-Up Display, which showcases important details about your drive on the windshield in front of you. Power-folding second- and third-row seats maximize space on board while a premium sound system pumps out the tunes, offering a ride quality that is simply unmatched.

Sparkling silver accents dot the cabin, while upscale excellence envelops you, making for an experience that’s better than you ever imagined on board the iconic Acadia. No matter which trim you happen to choose, rest assured that you’ll be in for an elegant experience marked by GMC-level luxury, high-end vibes, and premium appointments to make your ride more engaging and comfortable.

A red 2024 Buick Envision is shown parked by a Buick dealer near Farmington Hills.

Farmington Hill drivers, we’ve got something you’ll want to see. Meet the Buick Envision. Whether you’ve driven one before or not, it has much to offer and can easily be considered the quintessential compact SUV for drivers in your area. Buick vehicles are known for stylish exteriors, lavish interiors, ample performance, and modern technology features, and it’s safe to say the Envision has you covered on all fronts. Let’s learn more about why the Envision is what you should be looking for at a Buick dealer near Farmington Hills.

A Sizable Cargo Area for Every Occasion

The Buick Envision has excellent cargo space, regardless of how you keep your cabin configured. Whether you need the back seats up because you’re driving with the kids in the back seat or you are the only one in the car transporting furniture or groceries for the summer barbecue, your Envision will offer plenty of cargo space. However, the amount of cargo space you get with your Envision depends on which model year you buy.

What isn’t a difference is that every Envision model provides a generous amount of cargo space that competes well with other compact SUVs on the market. This is great for those who have an eye on a Buick vehicle but are worried about the cargo space associated with a compact SUV. If you were to buy a newer Envision model from 2021 onwards, you’ll always have at least 25.2 cu.ft. of space with all of the seats in use. The 2020 model has slightly more minimum cargo space, with at least 26.9 cu.ft. available at all times. It’s a small difference, and both SUVs offer equally admirable cargo space.

If you live with your family in Farmington Hills and enjoy leisurely outdoor activities, the Envision is for you. Whether you and the gang go down to the Founders Sports Park to toss the ball around or visit the Heritage Park Splash Pad when it’s open for the season, the Envision is built for families. The available cargo space means everyone in the family can bring everything they need for a fun and productive day, from soccer balls to tennis rackets, skateboards to do kickflips at Riley Skate Park, fishing rods, and any other outdoor equipment you need.

A luxury you won’t get with a sedan, that could be an influential factor as to why you’re shopping for an SUV in the first place, is the ability to fold down the back seats when they’re not in use. This results in a significant increase in available cargo space. For the best cargo room available, look for a model like the 2020 Envision, which sports a maximum cargo capacity of 57.3 cu.ft. of space. Later models received a slight adjustment in this regard, with models like 2021 Envision and onwards still reaching a highly respectable and perfectly adequate 52.7 cu.ft. of space.

No matter which era of Buick Envision you buy, the result is always more than ample cargo room. A benefit of the SUV lifestyle is the option of expandability, whether your choice is that of back-row passengers or immense cargo space. The Buick Envision is a great example of the expandability that can be achieved with an SUV. Folding down the rear seats increases cargo space by 113% on the 2020 Envision, with the 2024 Envision providing a 109% bump with the back seats down.

There may be many reasons why you choose to drive with the back seats folded. Maybe you’re not looking for an SUV for its family qualities, or at least not entirely, as you also prefer having time to yourself. That’s why it doesn’t matter what your hobby is in Farmington Hills, whether that’s golfing with your friends at Glen Oaks Golf Course or Franklin Hills Country Club, hiking at Heritage Park, or even if you’re a Detroit Red Wings or Pistons fan who enjoys tailgating with your buddies before the game at Little Caesars Arena. The 2024 Envision can facilitate all the fun in your life, along with all the important stuff, like getting around the city daily for work.

A Powertrain Built for Michigan Travel

Buick Envision powertrains have always been great for their class. Older models, like the 2020 Envision, are available with two potential powertrains, whereas the 2021 model onwards utilizes one. Starting with the powertrains you’ll find in 2020 models, a 2.5L I-4 engine is standard, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. You’ll also find a turbocharged 2.0L I-4 engine combined with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

From the 2021 Envision onwards, another turbocharged 2.0L I-4 engine is the standard powertrain with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Despite sharing the same displacement, this engine is not exactly the same as the turbocharged engine that came before it. Unlike the 2020 Envision, the new turbocharged I-4 engine in the 2021 Envision and onwards comes standard with FWD, with AWD available as an option. Previously, the 2.0L turbo engine was only available with AWD, which affects fuel economy. It’s a great trade-off, considering that the Envision from 2021 to the present day outputs 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Although it is optional, AWD is preferred here in Michigan, as driving in the snow is quite the experience with traditional FWD or RWD methods. This powertrain’s horsepower and torque provide a punchy driving experience, and you should want nothing less if you live in the greater area of the Motor City, like Farmington Hills.

What makes the Envision a great option is that whether you opt for the standard FWD model or buy one fitted with AWD, you still achieve fuel economy ratings worth raving about. Fuel economy ratings for the 2024 Envision have not been published yet. However, given that ratings haven’t changed at all since the 2021 model, barring one less MPG in the city for the 2023 Envision, it’s safe to assume the 2023 Envision’s EPA-estimated ratings will directly transfer over to the 2024 model.

The 2023 Envision’s fuel ratings are 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway (26 MPG combined) with FWD. AWD drops these slightly to 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway (25 MPG combined). This means that it doesn’t matter whether you’re driving down Six Mile Road, Eight Mile Road, or on the Interstate East towards Detroit. The Envision won’t be a costly ride in the long run. It’s not hard to see why the Envision’s powertrain is such a compelling feature of this compact SUV.

Envision Your Future With the Envision

If you stop for a moment and think about what kind of car you want to drive, there’s a chance the future you’re envisioning includes a Buick Envision. For any driver who lives a daily life that could greatly benefit from the versatility, expandability, and reliability of an SUV, lives in Farmington Hills, and also has an eye for style, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t consider the Buick Envision. Used models are a great place to look if you want to save money, and older models can still perform on par with their newer counterparts. There’s never been a better time to buy a new Envision. Now is the time to live the dream and drive something truly great.

A blue 2024 Bucick Envista Avenir is shown parked close to a Buick dealer near Brighton.

Buick is shaking things up big time, and it is exciting. Embracing that things are changing in the industry, Buick is reaching for new heights. Come visit LaFontaine Buick GMC Highland, your Buick dealer near Brighton, to see for yourself the incredible things coming to Buick and how its SUVs are playing an essential role in this long-running car company’s new path. With a revised design focus and even a new model in the lineup, there are plenty of great things happening under the tri-shield for 2024.

Intending to move to an entirely electric lineup, the Buick brand is making some serious changes to the current model list to begin this important shift. Even Buick’s well-known tri-shield logo, an important symbol of everything the automotive brand is working toward, has received a refresh. The 2024 selection may not be made up of electrified options just yet, but the latest Buick SUV offerings are a refreshing and welcome sight for this year.

The All-New Envista

The all-new 2024 Envista is now Buick’s entry-level SUV model. The Envista is a sleek and modern approach to the brand, focusing on comfort and connection. Developing a connection between car and driver is an important element––one that can elevate a vehicle to be so much more than simply transportation.

The Envista welcomes you with a truly stunning front end featuring a wide, smiling grille that sets the tone for the trim lineup. The Envista is available in three distinct trims, starting with the Preferred, followed by the Sport Touring and the Avenir. The front end plays an important role here in distinguishing between the three trims, giving each one a unique personality. The Preferred comes across with a mature distinction, showing off its sophisticated nature with chrome highlights. The Sport Touring is clearly designed to inspire thrill with its blacked-out elements, while the Avenir displays subtle elegance with its unique mesh grille.

The Envista’s subdued but evident elegance and presence almost seem like a representation of Brighton itself, what with the small-town charm and modern draw that makes Brighton one of those towns you just want to be in. Thanks to the compact size of the Envista, it is ideal for easily navigating the quaint town while also offering the capabilities necessary to prove itself as a utility vehicle. A spacious interior and high-end finishes create a cabin that encourages you to sit back and relax while taking in the sights and sounds of Michigan life.

The Preferred is a perfect combination of quality and style, offering safety features, comfort options, and refinement in the Envista. For those who want a bit more spice in their life, the Sport Touring trim adds some zing. Outside, the Sport Touring takes a bold approach with an impressive mesh grille in black, accented with black mirror caps, black wheels, and black side molding that helps with the streamlined look. Inside the sporty trim, occupants are met with a unique set of details reserved for the Sport Touring alone. Santorini Blue accents, unique headrest embroidery, and even leatherette upholstery give you a one-of-a-kind experience.

The Avenir is for those who want to revel in the refinement of the Buick brand, with the outside staying more modest. Body-colored accents keep things streamlined, with Pearl Nickel aluminum wheels for some contrast. Inside, the Avenir boasts its own unique trim with embroidered headrests and adds a slew of comforts. Heated seats, wireless device charging, and even a heated steering wheel prove that you are in the Avenir Envista.

An Encore for Buick’s Legendary Performance

The 2024 Envista might be the bright new star of Buick’s SUV series, but it took time to get the brand to where it is, and it also took help. The Buick Encore GX played a big part in building the brand’s SUV reputation, and its welcomed appearance in the 2024 offerings is only natural. Also coming in three trims, the Encore GX represents itself with the Preferred, the Sport Touring, and the Avenir.

The Sport Touring uses the same black-out details to help distinguish itself from the other two trims, while the Avenir also keeps a solid and sleek appearance with its finishes. Despite the similarities between the Envista and the Encore GX, there are also many differences––particularly when it comes to size. Both models can comfortably seat five passengers, but the boxier design of the Encore GX gives it 50.2 cu.ft. of cargo space compared to just 42 cu.ft. for the Envista.

To get the most out of the available space, the Encore GX features a 60/40 split folding rear seat and an available fold-flat front passenger seat. This configurable arrangement lets you decide how best to use your vehicle. You can bring the whole gang to go shopping at Brighton Town Square or load up your gear for hiking, exploring, or maybe spending a day at Woodland Lake. The Encore GX deserves applause for its adaptability and premium styling.

Bring in the Enclave

Rounding out Buick’s impressive SUV selection is the midsize Enclave. Seating seven passengers rather than the five of the Envista and Encore GX, the Enclave is the flagship of the Buick lineup. Not only does the Enclave seat two more people than the smaller two models, but it also boasts an impressive 97.4 cu.ft. of cargo space. The Enclave also offers a wider trim selection as well, with the Essence, the Premium, the Sport Touring, and the Avenir in the lineup.

Three rows of seating fill each trim of this midsize SUV and use clever features to create an intuitive and practical space. The Smart Slide second-row seats eliminate the hassle of clambering over obstacles to reach the third row. There is even hidden storage space that helps you keep items stowed away for safety and convenience. Every inch of the Enclave has been thoughtfully designed to make sure you enjoy every moment.

Just like the Envision and the Encore GX, the Enclave offers a variety of comforts and safety features depending on trim. Everything from premium appointments to massaging front seats helps to offer a refined experience for everyone. The Enclave is an excellent addition to the Buick lineup and offers a great option for larger families who need that extra space without sacrificing the niceties.

The Future of Buick

Even though some of the faces from Buick are quite familiar, they still represent the coming changes we can expect. The intention is to offer designs that are timeless, avoiding fads that can become outdated quickly. Just because things are moving forward doesn’t mean we need to forget where we came from, and Buick’s designs keep that in mind.

Buick intends to move to a fully electric lineup by the end of the decade, and we are already seeing changes to prepare for it. With the Wildcat EV concept car spearheading the new electric revolution, it is inspiring redesigns of the current gas-powered models to better usher them into the future Buick is imagining. The 2024 lineup offers quite a bit for Brighton residents who aim to improve their driving experience and leave a lasting impact on the world around us.

It is exciting to see the start of a revolution and know where it all began when it eventually comes together. Knowing the impressive history of Buick and its contributions to the automotive industry, we are positive that the moves made by Buick now will impact the automotive industry for the better as we move into a new era of the automobile. The future is already here; you just have to get behind the wheel.

A red 2024 Buick Envista ST is shown driving on a tree-lined road after leaving a Buick dealer.

The Buick Envista only recently joined the Buick lineup, but as a Buick dealer, we’re already seeing a lot of interest in this compact SUV. It boasts a remarkably low price tag for this luxury brand, delivering stunning looks and inspired features to those on a budget. Plus, its compact dimensions make it a terrific choice for city drivers and commuters. It gets excellent fuel economy and shouldn’t struggle to park where larger SUVs might try and fail. Some wonder how the Envista justifies its place in the lineup since Buick already has a compact SUV with its Envision. We can tell you that the Envista is a bit more compact and sits in a different price range entirely, so it’s perfect for those wanting easy-to-handle dimensions and a low MSRP.

In our opinion, one of the standout features of the Envista is the QuietTuning with Active Noise Cancellation. It’s available in other Buick models, too, but some might be surprised to find it in the Envista simply because the Envista is so affordable. Many shoppers presume that luxury features like this are reserved for the pricier models, but Buick wanted to make this great technology available to Envista drivers, and we love seeing the looks on our customer’s faces when they experience it. So, what exactly is QuietTuning technology with Active Noise Cancellation, and why is it so impactful to a driver’s life? We’ve got answers.

How Exactly Buick Makes the Cabin So Quiet

Several design elements went into the creation of QuietTuning and Active Noise Cancellation technology. The two systems work together to not only block out outside noise, like car horns and pedestrians shouting on sidewalks, but also to reduce internal noise, like that from the engine or tires. For that reason, there are sound-deadening elements found everywhere you look (though most aren’t visible to the naked eye).

First, Buick applies a liquid sound deadener to the vehicle along with acoustic laminated glass to create an almost studio-like soundproofed environment inside the cabin. Then, they add underbody pieces that cut down wind noise. Finally, there is even a special suspension in vehicles with this technology that’s made to reduce engine and tire noise.

The difference is noticeable the moment you get into the vehicle. All of the sounds of the world quickly melt away the moment you close the doors and roll up the windows. You’ll probably let out a little sigh of relief. It’s a system that truly turns your cabin into your oasis and is one of those things that makes Buick vehicles feel so luxurious.

Why Driving In a Quiet Cabin Makes a World of Difference

You might be thinking, “So, it’s quiet in the cabin of the Envista – big deal.” Actually, it kind of is a big deal. Sirens, horns, shouting, bicycle bells, roaring engines — all these sounds aren’t just annoying. Listening to these noises can impact your well-being over time. If you live in a congested city where the noises we just described make up the 24/7 soundtrack of the streets, it can be hard to catch a break from them.

Research has found that the sounds of horns, sirens, and similar noise pollution can cause blood pressure to spike and stress hormones to increase. If these things are constantly elevated in your body, that can lead to health issues down the line. However, if you have a long daily commute, then you might be subjected to these sounds for hours every day. You owe it to yourself to get a vehicle with noise-canceling technology so that you can arrive at your destination feeling peaceful rather than feeling on edge.

The stress drivers feel from all that noise pollution can also cause anger and — you guessed it — road rage. Drivers with road rage are more likely to get into an accident. In fact, over 50 percent of fatal car accidents involve a road rage incident. Being stuck in traffic, having a bad day, and other factors can lead to road rage. However, listening to constant horns and sirens can be the thing that puts you over the edge and causes you to tailgate someone or cut someone off. A quiet cabin means a peaceful one. And a peaceful cabin can mean a more peaceful driver. The more you understand how noise pollution impacts people, the more you can see why Envista’s QuietTuning technology isn’t just a luxury — it’s more like a necessity.

The open sunroof is shown in a 2024 Buick Envista ST.

Get Your Thoughts Together

Another reason we love to show drivers how quiet the Envista cabin is because we know many Envista drivers are professionals. It’s a terrific commuting vehicle, so it’s popular among people who go into an office or take client meetings all day. And work life can mean preparing for important presentations or pitches. Your vehicle is your last reprieve before that big pitch. It’s your last place of solitude to gather your thoughts before you have to put on a show. That blaring of a horn or siren can interrupt your thoughts just as you are coming up with the perfect way to start your presentation. A quiet cabin can help drown out some of those sounds so you can focus when it really matters.

Let Little Ones Get In Nap Time

If you have young children, then they’re probably on a precise nap schedule. You know how they get when they miss their nap. Tantrums arise. Nobody can focus on homework. It’s utter chaos. If your kids’ nap time falls during car time, it’s important that they can sleep soundly (for everybody’s sake). They might be sound asleep in the back when the rev of a nearby engine wakes them up. It’s a devastating moment for you and the grumpy, bleary-eyed children. QuietTuning can minimize those moments so that little ones can enjoy uninterrupted backseat naps.

Hear Your Music Better

No matter how good of a sound system you have, it’ll be hard to enjoy it if the streets are loud. The symphony doesn’t quite sound the same when someone’s car alarm is going off for ten minutes right next to the place where you’re stuck in gridlock traffic. The soothing sound of the narrator of that audiobook isn’t so soothing when a street vendor is yelling, “Two for five dollars!” at the top of their lungs (though you appreciate their hustle).

If you invest in a quality sound system, you deserve to enjoy it. An important part of that will be drowning out outside noise. That’s where the QuietTuning and Active Noise Cancellation come into play again. You can fully immerse yourself in the music you need to get pumped for your day or unwind after a long one. You can hear every gripping word of that audio mystery novel, so an outside noise doesn’t take you out of the moment.

A More Peaceful Drive Awaits

When you get into your vehicle, you want to leave the outside world, outside. QuietTuning with active noise cancellation can help with that. This is just one of the many wonderful features of the Envista that make it such a standout model. Our team is ready and excited to show you all that this affordable and stylish compact SUV has to offer. We’re rolling in new models daily and have a team of experts on every trim.

If you’ve been curious about the Envista, pay us a visit. We’ll take you for a test drive so you can experience the QuietTuning and active noise cancellation technology for yourself. However, you’ve been warned: once you’ve experienced it, the interior of every other vehicle will feel very loud to you. It’s just one way Buick spoils its customers and another reason why we love this manufacturer.
