The GMC Yukon XL is, in most respects, identical to the 2022 GMC Yukon at our GMC dealership in Highland, MI. The main difference is both models’ wheel bases. The standard model has a 120.9-inch wheelbase, while the XL model comes in at 134.1 inches. That results in more second and third-row leg room, and a lot more cargo volume.

In other respects, they’re much alike. There are the same SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali trims, and the same available drivelines.

2022 GMC Yukon XL Interior and Special Features

Like its smaller sibling, this new GMC SUV seats eight by default but can be outfitted to seat seven or nine passengers. The interior is highlighted by the intuitive GMC Premium Infotainment System, with a 10.2-inch touchscreen, plus support for wireless Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™.

The middle trims have the option of a power-sliding locking center console, with other options including a navigation system and a 15-inch multicolor head-up display. These features and many more are standard on the Denali trim.
